Durban is regarded as one of the most significant 'repositories' of Art Deco

The following significant Art Deco buildings are found in the centre of Durban:

  • Colonial Mutual Building - 330 West Street (1931-33)
  • Hollywood Court - 197 Smith Street (1937)
  • Enterprise Building - 47 Aliwal Street (1931)
  • Victoria Mansions - 124 Victoria Embankment (1935)
  • Willern Court - 157 Victoria Embankment (1937)
  • Broadwindsor - 7 Broad Street (1934)
  • Manhattan Court - 11 Broad StreetPrefcor House - 396 West Street

Durban's Berea also has an important Art Deco district:
The following Art Deco buildings are on the Berea Ridge overlooking the city:

  • Berea Court - 399 Berea Road South (1935)
  • Surrey Mansions - 323 Currie Road (1934)
