Muzi Pan is a 15km stretch of water within the Isimangaliso Wetland Park World Heritage Site and bordering Kwa Jobe tribal land. With over 420 recorded bird species including the rare Pels Fishing Owl, Narina Trogon, Lemon Breasted Canary and the Lesser Jacana, Muzi Pan is one of the best birding hotspots along the Elephant Coast.
From the N2, follow the R22 northwards from Hluhluwe for approximately 50km towards Sodwana Bay. Cross the Mkuze River and take a left turn after 1km onto the tarred road R820 signed towards Mkuze Game Reserve. Muzi Pan is on the right hand side after approximately 2.5km.
