S'khumba Crafts is a leather workshop, studio and coffee bar situated between Ramsgate and Southbroom on the lower South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. The leather produced here is crafted entirely by hand from top quality vegetable-tanned cowhide, and is of workmanship and quality that is rare in this day and age. A team of dedicated craftsmen produces classic sandals, shoes, bags, belts and wind chimes, as well as interesting and unusual items and accessories. S'khumba Crafts nestles in one of the few remaining indigenous forests on the Lower South Coast, the surroundings offering a feast for the eyes and a balm for the spirit. The coffee bar allows guests to enjoy the cool peace of the forest, and its wide variety of bird and animal life, while sampling locally-grown coffee and home-baked goodies. During the summer and autumn months, S'khumba Crafts hosts music evenings featuring top South African musicians in order that the beauty and natural acoustics of the venue may be shared.
