The Babanango Valley Private Nature Reserve is situated in a north facing valley, compassing the mountains on both sides. The Nsubeni, a small perennial river, flows through the center. Follow the N2 north for about 141km. Turn off onto the R66 at the Dokoweni Toll plaza (towards Eshowe/ Ulundi). Proceed for about 72km past Eshowe and through Melmoth. From Babanango, take R68 towards Dundee, after 4km turn onto D139, drive 2,5km further.
