Walk in the footsteps of master strategists, military geniuses, stand on the sites of bloodshed and world changing events, take a trip along the Battlefields route. Step back in time to a period of conflict, to the time of the Zulu wars, Shaka, Churchill, Blood River, Cetshwayo and Boers.
But don't be fooled into thinking that the Battlefield route is nothing but bloodshed and history. Along the route there are also fantastic wildlife reserves to see the Big Five and vibrant birdlife. If you like to track down and capture a bargain, there are many shopping opportunities.
If you are planning a campaign of tourism to the Battlefields, remember there is a lot to see and do, so have a plan of attack, get a guide or guide book , map the route, and then, attack.
