Blue wildebeest, zebra, blesbok, impala, blue duiker and bushbuck have been introduced. The area comprises 10 ha of indigenous riverine forest and 15 ha of grassland. Within the park are two memorials to warrior-king Shaka. Picnic and braai sites and toilets are provided.
